This centuries old property compliments the charm of the rural village of Gharb, which is a gem in itself with its quaint streets, and splendid church. The village also boasts exceptional country walks.
Property still retains rare features of when the property was a working farmhouse including, its own arched mill room with fully functional fireplace - now a beautifully furnished living space. Excellent for the winter months.
A separate kitchen and dining area also retains the ambiance of times of the past, when it was the heart and centre of rural family life. The old back garden has been turned into a spacious sun lounge with a great sized private pool. Completed with a built in stone BBQ area ideal for a summer evening meal.
The property sleeps 8, in four rustically furnished bedrooms (one with ensuite facilities) on the first floor, all of which retain old original features - some with arches spanning the room and others with stone roof side supports. All of which are quite rare to find in present day Gozo. The bedrooms are accessible through a wide airy corridor overlooking the pool area, again an old feature which takes you back centuries and gives the place a serene and cool ambiance. This floor is also equipped with two separate shower rooms.
Pool Dimensions - 7 x 4 Meters
Included in this accommodation: All beds will be prepared with the appropriate bed linen, along with extra blankets in the wardrobes should you need further layers. In addition to this, you will also be provided with 2 towels per person – which will be placed on the beds ready for use.
The bedrooms are equipped with AC units that are available with an electronic coin system (€1 & €2 coins) installed at property with a screen to display the credit remaining, each AC unit consumes around € 2 per night.
We will also provide all bookings with 1x dishwasher tablet and 1x washing machine tablet per night of your stay.
Maid service is included when you book for 7 nights or more.

Gharb is one of the oldest villages situated in the west of the island of Gozo. L-Gharb is surrounded by two villages, that of San Lawrenz and Ghasri, and the sea.
The city of Victoria is 3.5 km from property and here you can enjoy the rich history from the knights time while unwinding yourself in one of the coffee shops you can find here.

Kindly note that price does not include Malta Eco Tax, we are required by law to collect it on arrival from all tourists, including locals from the age of 18 and over. The tax is € 0.50c per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands. Capped at a maximum of €5 per person for each continuous stay. This is paid locally in cash only and collected at check in by one of our staff.

“There were a number if issues during our stay and we felt the meet and greet from Luke - was in deed Luke warm. We would have liked cleaning materials and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The issues we did raise were dealt with immediately. The venue was lovely and ideal for our needs. Donald was just awesome and the cleaning and maintenance staff very polite and passionate about the property. We had no where to get rid of the bbq coals and we didn’t really Under’s the whetting rid of the rubbish system- I think it was a language thing. I think 7 dishwasher tablets would have been more appropriate and the toiletries were poor. No body wash, shampoo or conditioner- you can get them in small sachet sizes. We ran out of toilet paper before the Tuesday. Another bigger fan in the lounge would have been good. Thank you for looking after us . ”

“The overall impression was very positive. We spend a week in the house with our family of 4. The house itself is really nice, the garden with pool is excellent (although the water was very very cold in April). The beds are not really comfortable and the couch in the living room is a bit ragged. If you want to stay with 8 people there are only 6 kitchen chairs and 8 plates. Outside there are enough chairs.
The interior is beautiful and nicely decorated. I would strongly recommend this house in Gharb.
“The farmhouse including its facilities was fantastic. I would have given our stay experience a 5-star rating if there were not several 'minor' inconveniences that we had and which I believe boil down to insufficient care for detail in maintaining the facilities. As examples I cite: 1 outdoor umbrella was torn and broken. A second outdoor umbrella was in the shower room, damp, moulded and stinking. Had to leave it in the sun for 1 day before it became 'usable'. Downstairs bathroom had a faulty flushing (needs new valve?) limiting its use. Upstairs main bed was too squeaky on every movement. Upstairs fan only worked on maximum speed and only after prodding. Pool shower - loose shower head, leaky pipe... This is what we came across. As I said, I cannot complain about the farmhouse - loved it. But it is these small things that make a difference. I did not expect it especially since we are at the start and not the close of the main season. Hope my comments help you. David ”

We try to meet all guests arriving up to 19:00 hours for check in at the property. Guests that are arriving after 19:00 will be given a link with directions and a 4-digit code to retrieve the key which will open the front door. Please view our Arrival details form
No fees charged for bookings cancelled within 48 hours of booking, not applicable for bookings done 48 hours from arrival date.
We strongly advise all guests to purchase travel insurance, in case of the unfortunate event in which you need to cancel your holiday.
All requests to cancel a booking must be made in writing and must be signed by the person who made the booking. You must then post or email the request to Baron Holiday Homes.
If your request to cancel your booking is received more than 180 days before the booking was due to start, we will refund your deposit in full.
Requests to cancel a booking received between 30 and 179 days before the booking was due to start will incur a penalty charge of 10% of the deposit. The remainder of the deposit will ONLY be refunded if the accommodation is re-let for the full period of the intended stay.
Requests to cancel a booking received less than 30 days before the booking was due to start, will incur a penalty charge of 10% of the whole amount already paid.

Infants and extra beds
All children are welcome.
Children under 2 years at check in, stay free of charge when sleeping with parents or in a baby cot. We can offer 1 baby cot free of charge, additional baby cots are charged at €5 per night (these will include bed linen and 2 towels)
Folding beds can be provided for you, at an extra charge of € 10 per night.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is subject to availability, which subsequently needs to be confirmed by management in writing. All requests must be made at least 1 week prior to your arrival date.
Pets are allowed on request and must be approved in writing, if approved there is € 15 per night fee, capped at € 45 total.
Parties/events are not allowed, under any circumstances.
The wonderful island of Gozo is a small tranquil place. In order to ensure you don’t disturb the local surroundings, we kindly recommend that you keep the volume down at all times - especially between 22:00 and 9am.
Environmental contribution (ECO tax)
The contribution is payable by all tourists who are 18 years or older irrespective of nationality (including locals). It amounts to €0.50 per person for each night payable in cash at check in, spent on the Maltese Islands at any type of accommodation. The contribution is capped at a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay. This applies also to twin-centre stays in Malta and Gozo.
